La banda alicantina Numen nos traen su tercer nuevo trabajo titulado
"Cyclothymia" editado bajo el sello chileno Mylodon Records.
Su apuesta musical estaría encasillada en el llamado Art Rock. Emana
todavía
eso sí, una herencia neo progresiva marillionesca de sus inicios en 1992,
melodías y arreglos instrumentales claramente marcados por aquella
é,poca,
pero con una búsqueda en la composición y tal vez con menos éxito en las
melodías, para darle un enfoque más moderno. Un trabajo oscuro, envolvente
y emocional. Personalmente el tema que resaltaría por encima de todos es el
que precisamente da título al trabajo "Cyclothymia", una mini suite de casi
15 minutos de duración. Inspirada composición con buenos cambios de ritmo y
de escena, momentos de lucimiento para los músicos y la omnipresente voz
bucólica de César Alcaraz. Por cierto, un año después tanto el cantante
como el guitarrista han dejado el grupo.

The band from Alicante Numen bring us their third new work entitled
"Cyclothymia" released under the Chilean label Mylodon Records. Their
musical bet would be filed under the so-called Art rock. It still emanates
that neo progressive marillionesque heritage of their beginnings in
1992, with melodies and instrumental arrangements clearly marked by that time,
but with a search in the composition and perhaps less successful in the
melodies, to give it a more modern approach. A dark, enveloping and
emotional work. Personally the theme that I would highlight above all is
the one that precisely gives title to the work "Cyclothymia", a mini suite
of almost 15 minutes of duration, inspired composition with good changes of
rhythm and scene, moments for the musicians and the
omnipresent bucolic voice of César Alcaraz. By the way, a year later both
the singer and the guitarist left the band.
