Zona Crepuscular es el segundo album de la banda, aunque se puede considerar
el primero de una nueva época con nueva formación, estilo y proyectos. El
título hace referencia a distintos lugares de nuestra ciudad donde un grupo
de jóvenes sinfónicos divagabamos y filosofeabamos sobre temas mundanos
varios, siempre en un ambiente de tolerancia y comprensión de ideas...
Respecto de la música, contiene material nuevo compuesto expresamente para
el CD, temas de hace unos cinco años y dos que eran ya interpretados por la
antigua formación antes de su dispersión en el 93, los cuales han sido
retomados y reorientados hacia el nuevo sonido de la banda. Pensamos que lo
más característico de los nueve temas que forman el album es su homogeneidad
compositiva. En este trabajo hemos querido ante todo separarnos de la
etiqueta fusionadora y jazz-rokera que tenía el grupo y acercarnos mucho más
a un rock sinfónico y/o progresivo más puro, eso si, implicándonos muy a
fondo en conseguir un sonido propio, homogéneo y moderno. El equilibrio
sonoro se consigue combinando sonidos tecnológicos con otros totalmente
acústicos, en especial de flauta travesera y guitarra clásica, y contando
con una contundente sección rítmica. Sobre los comentarios típicos acerca de
influencias y parecidos, simplemente juzguen ustedes... Con este CD Onza
pretende aportar su granito de arena al sinfónico hispano y proponer nuevos
puntos de vista para este género de música.

Zona Crepuscular is the band's second album, although it can be considered
as the first one of a new era for the band, with new line-up, style and
projects. The title refers to some places of our city, where a group of
young proggers used to speak about good and bad, with tolerance and exchange
of ideas... The music is new material composed for the CD, as well as other
themes from five years ago and two ones played by the former line-up prior
to the disband in 93, re-oriented to the band's current sound. We think that
the most characteristic thing in the nine tracks in the album is their
compositive homogeneity. We have tried to get away from the jazz-fusion
label from the past and get closer to the symphonic-progressive rock,
looking for a distinctive and modern sound. The sonic balance is achieved
combining technological sounds with other totally acoustic, from flute and
classic guitar, and witha powerfull rhythm section. About influences and
similarities, just hear and speak your mind... With this CD Onza tries to
give its 2 cents to the hispanic symphonic and propose new points of view to
this music genre.
