I/O se compone con un estilo de metal progresivo con influencias claras de muchas otras fuentes, así como de otros estilos como el jazz. El eclecticismo en la composición del álbum se refleja con la colaboración de varios músicos, que han contribuido a la mezcla final con un cuarteto de cuerda, trompetas, saxofones o varios tipos de percusiones como el cajón flamenco. El resultado se compone de siete canciones autónomas que presentan conceptos diferentes, con una diversidad de pasajes y sensaciones en cada estructura. "I/O" ha sido autoproducido por Jani Pihlman, guitarrista solista de la banda y se ha mezclado con la colaboración de Erik Monsonís.

I/O composes in a progressive metal style with clear influences from many other sources, as well as other genres like jazz. Eclectic composition is reflected all over the album with the collaboration of a number of musicians in the final mix, like a string quartet, trumpets, saxophones, or different kinds of percussion, like flamenco cajon. The result is composed of seven autonomous songs representing different concepts, wirh a diversity of soundscapes and feelings in each structure. "I/O" has been self-released, and produced by Jani Philman, solo guitarrist of the band, and it has been mixed with the help of Erik Monsonís.
