Tercer trabajo de esta banda de Algeciras titulado "Valdeinfierno" donde nos
ofrecen en su escasa casi media hora de duración, por esto diría que es más
un EP que un LP, un Hard psicodélico mezclado con rock progresivo y toques
de Space Rock de altos vuelos.
Tras una breve intro acústica, aparece la perla del álbum, "La Palmosa" un
tema que sorprende por su toque de rock andaluz con recuerdos a ALAMEDA,
pero dándole ese toque especial de Psicodelia progresiva, a los 3 minutos y
media toma el mando el bajo haciendo que el tema tome un giro hipnótico y
machacante hacia el space rock pero sin dejar de lado la psicodelia
El ritmo marcial de "Quejigo" con las voces distorsionadas en un sinfín
musical. Siguiente tema "Valdeinfierno" es abierta por un inquietante bajo y
la batería marcando el ritmo para que la guitarra incursione en algo parecido
a lo que hacia Manuel Rodríguez de Iman Califato Independiente, en su tramo
final el sonido desemboca en ritmos arábigos y flamencos donde la percusión
se adueña del final del tema.
"Sapo sagapo" recobra los clásicos sonidos acústicos y percusivos con las
guitarras distorsionadas de una época hippie. Acaba el disco con “Etreum al
ed Sallitepmort” como empezó con un corto instrumental.
Creo que ATAVISMO se ha ganado el derecho a ser considerada como una de las
bandas mas interesantes en el panorama musical progresivo y psicodélico.
"Valdeinfierno" es digna sucesora del gran trabajo anterior que supuso ser
"Inerte", por ponerle algún, pero, creo que le falta un par de temas a la
altura de "La Palmosa" para quedarte plenamente lleno y satisfecho.

Third work by this band from Algeciras entitled "Valdeinfierno" where they
offer us in its just half hour of duration (I would say it is more an EP than an
LP) a psychedelic Hard mixed with progressive rock and touches of high-flying Space Rock.
After a brief acoustic intro, the pearl of the album appears, "La Palmosa" a
song that surprises with its touch of Andalusian rock with memories of
ALAMEDA, but giving it that special touch of progressive Psychedelia, after
3 and a half minutes the bass takes over, making the song to take a
hypnotic and crushing turn towards space rock.
The martial rhythm of “Quejigo” with the distorted voices in a myriad of
music.
Next song “Valdeinfierno” is opened by a disturbing bass and the drums
setting the rhythm for the guitar to get into something similar to what Manuel
Rodríguez de Iman Califato Independente. In its final section, the sound
flows into Arabic and flamenco rhythms where percussion takes over towards the end
of the song.
"Sapo sagapo" brings back the classic acoustic and percussive sounds with the distorted guitars of a hippie era.
The album ends with "Etreum al ed sallitepmort" as it started with a short instrumental.
I think ATAVISMO has earned the right to be considered as one of the most
interesting bands in the progressive and psychedelic music scene.
"Valdeinfierno" is a worthy successor to the great previous work "Inerte", but I think it lacks a
couple of songs at the level of "La Palmosa" to be fully satisfactory.
