Abstract:
Los modelos inductivos se pueden usar en la siguientes áreas de conocimiento:

* Predicción de procesos complejos
* Identificación estructural y paramétrica
* Compresión de datos (vía aproximación óptima)
* Reconocimiento de patrones y clasificación (aprendizaje supervisado)
* Agrupamiento de datos (aprendizaje no supervisado)
* Aprendizaje automático (minería de datos, descubrimiento del conocimiento).
* Generación/predicción del lenguaje

En concreto, nos va a hablar del Group Method of Data Handling (GMDH),
un modelo inductivo predictivo que se aplica a muchas tareas de PLN,
clasificación y de soporte de decisiones. Este modelo es capaz de incorporar
otros mecanismos de clasificación (k-vecinos, bayes, svm, redes neuronales,
etc.) dentro del modelo inductivo.

SOBRE EL PROFESOR MIKHAIL ALEXANDROV:

Mikhail Alexandrov, M.Sc. in Radioengineering, M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Applied
Mathematics (geophysics). Professor of the Russian Presidential Academy of
national economy and public administration (department of system analysis and
informatics). Invited professor of the Autonomous University of Barcelona
(master program on computational linguistics). Recent positions: NLP
laboratory of the Center for Computing Research of the National Polytechnic
Institute of Mexico (1997-2004), grants of the Polytechnic University of
Valencia and   the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2004-2009), since 2009
Mikhail Alexandrov works in Russia and Spain. During the spring 2012 he were
working in Peru at the company Telefonica (WAYRA-Peru). Research interests:
data mining and text mining, mathematical modeling in natural-scientific
and humanitarian applications.
