DLSI 1995-2015

Dear colleagues,

The Department of Software and Computing Systems was created on May the 25th, 1995 at the University of Alicante. Since its creation it has grown, matured and it has become a referent in this university due to its research and teaching quality.

As regards the Department's success in research, in part this has been possible due to its leadership in National and European projects and in part due to the large number of publications in scientific journals and collaboration with international institutions. The Department success in teaching is based on its presence in all faculties and the quality of lecturing on degree courses and Masters.

All of these achievements would not have been possible without the contribution of each and everyone of its members, even those who were only among us for a short period of time.

This is also a very special moment to thank all of us who were Heads of the Department at some time:
