APLICACIONES DE LA INFORMÁTICA (R.D. 1393/2007)
This doctoral programme is a continuation of the previous programme also called
Aplicaciones de la Informática (R.D. 778/1998), which has won the following awards:
- «Mention of Quality» conceded by the Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia for courses 2005-2006 (BOE, 14/07/2005 Ref. MCD-2005 00095), 2006-2007(BOE, 30/08/2006 Ref. MCD-2005 00095), 2007-2008 (BOE, 12/10/2007 Ref. MCD2005-00095) and 2008-2009 (BOE, 12/11/2008 Ref. MCD2005-00095).
- Programme with funding for teachers mobility from the Dirección General de Universidades, Secretaría de Estado de Universidades e Investigación, Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia for courses 2005-2006 (BOE, 16/01/2006 Ref. DCT2005-00452), 2006-2007 (BOE, 12/01/2007 Ref. DCT2006-00571-P), 2007-2008 (BOE, 02/07/2008 Ref. DCT2007-00223-p) and 2008-2009 (BOE, 12/01/2009 Ref. DCT2008-00094).

- The PhD Programme Aplicaciones de la Informática (R.D. 1393/2007) is divided into two periods:
- Training period (60 ECTS credits)
Since academic year 2009-2010, the training period consists of taking the University Master's Degree in Computing Technologies.
- Research period
For the research period, the student must choose one of the four research lines proposed for the PhD Programme. Finally, and after the defense of the doctoral thesis, he/she will obtain the doctorate degree from the University of Alicante.

- Pre-registration for the research period for academic year 2011-2012:
- September 5 to 15, 2011 (via this page at CEDIP)
- Admission criteria:
- The Doctoral Commission will study the records of the students who are applying for the pre-registration process and decide on the admission according to the student's curriculum and the Master taken. Students who completed the University Master's Degree in Computing Technologies will be admitted automatically; in other cases, the Commission will evaluate the affinity of each master and will recommend or require the performance of seminars or additional courses to meet the minimum knowledge required.
- Registration for academic year 2011-2010:
- October 20 to 26, 2011 via Campus Virtual
- Training period (60 ECTS credits)
- Quality warranty for the programme: The Doctoral Commission will watch over the quality of the programme. In order to improve the quality of the programme, the Doctoral Commission will evaluate it throughout:
- satisfaction surveys to the students
- studying the relationship between graduated and enrolled students
- monitoring the employability of graduated students

- The teaching period consists of taking the University Master's Degree in Computing Technologies.

- Students must take, at least, five 1-ECTS-credit seminars from all the seminars of the diverse research areas (more information above).

- No PhD programme will be available this year and this is the last one on which you can be registered at the supervised research work (12 credits), which is necessary to obtain the Advanced Studies Diploma (DEA).
