The ICEIS 2002 will be organised this year in Spain by the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, in Ciudad Real. Coordinated with that event a number of workshop will take place. One of those workshops is PRIS 2002. Continuing the line started by the first edition in Setúbal, Portugal, PRIS 2002 will focus in the pattern recognition and machine learning techniques of application in the digital society of Information Systems.

The workshop will comprise of oral presentations and invited talks by prof. Jim Bezdek (USA), Jian Zhong Qian (USA) and Robert Duin (Netherlands).
